I managed to not take off my exhaust to get this out and reinstalled. Thanks for a great video. I really needed it!! The exit path of the assembly - super important to know. Getting a spring compress on this diameter coil was no small feat. I used a macpherson “Chinese-ism” single rod corkscrew with forks version that if you put in the fork to the coil them attach the corkscrew it’s works great, or you scratch it all up (like I did, boo!) Adjustment of ride height and preload can all be done after install on the bike using only the kickstand. Wow, I could not sort out up from down and ride height measurements. 3-hours of jumping up and down to get zero bottoming out.

People keep commenting on how informative these video's are... I don't see it. I think these tutorials are (frankly) worthless and I haven't found a single video that he's done that actually helped. It's a good thing he quit wasting his time on these. He wont show important removal info but show him pulling out a plate and opening epoxy... WTF.

Hi Bryan. Thanks For this video, I need to perform this job. QUESTION: Do we really need to remove the reserve tank or is it possible to remove 2 bolts and just loosen the last bolt in the back then wiggle the pump out the top? ( I've seen this on another post but it was not a Warrior bike) ???

Best to use measuring tape and go from center of swing arm pivot to center of axle....instead of hash marks on adjusters

2 into 2 provides more torque but a 2 into 1 provides significant HP increase

Thanks for this. It was a great help. I will be ordering the clutch upgrade soon and watching your install video. I got everything else but the front pulley and I also went with the cobra fi 2000 power pro black. And love it. Then shortly after install realized I need a clutch upgrade 😂. Aka “Valley Warrior”.

So the MT-01; what kind of bike is that, well At Yamaha in Japan they stripped a 2005 Yamaha R1: all fairings came off and they took out the 4 cylinder R1 engine and they placed a Road Warrior 1700 Cc engine into the R1 Frame....made it all fit very well and so The Yamaha Frankenstein MT-01 was born. Since the bike is based up on a Yamaha R1 Frame with the Yamaha R1 front fork/brakes and the Yamaha R1 rear fork/brakes, this bike rides like a dream, also when the corners are hit, after all this is a Yamaha 1700 Cc V-tiwn R1. So basically the MT-01 (Master of Torque number 1) is no, I repeat, no cruiser, but a naked bike based up on a Naked Yamaha R1 frame/ undercarriage. I have done five of the mods you mention. 31 tooth front sprocket, Churchkey's BAK. Iridium plugs do for sure make a difference. Great video.
